I recently had the opportunity to visit China and stay at the Bvlgari Hotel Beijing, which was opened by the famous Roman Jewellery Maison a few years ago and was immediately recognised as the best in town by industry professionals, travellers, and the local public.
An urban resort in the heart of Beijing’s Embassy District, the 119-room Bvlgari Hotel reimagines luxury for a new era. Set within lush gardens, it balances art and nature. The Tadao Ando-designed Genesis Art Foundation is a neighbour, as is the tranquil Liangma River, making the hotel an oasis of exquisite Italian style. It was unforgettable.
Once I stepped into the grand lobby, I was greeted with impeccable and elegant service, and sophistication that permeated throughout the entire hotel. The hotel seamlessly blends traditional Chinese architectural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. Rooms are exquisitely furnished with renowned Italian luxury brands such as Maxalto, B&B Italia, and Flos. The crown jewel is the Bvlgari Suite, spanning nearly 400 square metres and offering unparalleled vistas of Beijing's skyline.
Ensuring a holistic guest experience, I particularly enjoyed indulgent treatments at the Bvlgari Spa, spanning 1500 square metres with 11 rooms, a fitness centre, and a stunning 25-metre indoor pool adorned with shimmering mosaic tiles reminiscent of the Ancient Roman Baths of Caracalla.
Guests are led up the staircase to the lavish Bvlgari Ballroom for large celebrations and events. The Ballroom can seat up to 300 guests, while the spacious foyer can accommodate up to 400 people for standing cocktails prior to a function.
Adding to its allure, II Ristorante by Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito offers gastronomic delights against the backdrop of scenic park views, complemented by a charming terrace. One of the nine jewels of the Bvlgari Hotel Collection spread across the world, Bvlgari Hotel Beijing exemplifies pure Italian design philosophy within China's vibrant capital. Embodying an oasis of tranquillity amidst the bustling metropolis, it sets a new standard in luxury hospitality in Beijing.
With its impeccable service, opulent amenities, and dedication to sustainability, the Bvlgari Hotel Beijing offers great memories for both leisure and business travellers alike. I’m happy to be one of them! An absolute “must-see” for those willing to discover modern China.
