KARE unveils the ‘Fluid Realities’ collection with Karim Rashid

The world premiere of KARE x Karim Rashid collaboration marks the launch of the bold and emotional Fluid Realities collection. This year, KARE sets a confident example of creative brand development and international design expertise through an exclusive design collaboration. For the new Fluid Realities collection, KARE Head of Design and CEO Jürgen Reiter has invited renowned star designer Karim Rashid to join the project. Rashid is one of the most influential designers of our time, known for an iconic design language that is instantly recognizable worldwide for its unmistakable and visionary aesthetics.

The collaboration sends a strong signal to the market. As KARE CEO Peter Schönhofen emphasizes, Karim Rashid stands for bold design with emotional appeal and humor, qualities that not only fit perfectly with the brand’s DNA but also attract the attention of a global audience. The approximately sixty furniture and lighting designs in the new collection combine futuristic elegance with functional clarity. Created in close collaboration with KARE founders Jürgen Reiter and Peter Schönhofen, the collection reflects both entrepreneurial courage and a shared creative vision. Karim Rashid notes that, inspired by the brand DNA of KARE and the bold spirit of the two entrepreneurs, a collection emerged that appeals emotionally through designs with strong character and a modern color palette of white, pink, and techno tones, while convincingly conveying the brand’s core values.

Rashid’s design philosophy is centered on creating spaces for people who long for a futuristic, emotionally charged environment — whether at home, in the office, or in public spaces. His ideal audience, much like that of KARE, appreciates sensuality combined with minimalism and enjoys surrounding themselves with objects that inspire joy, curiosity, and reflection.

With more than 4,000 designs, over 400 awards, and projects in 40 countries, Karim Rashid has revolutionized modern interior and product design. His unmistakable style — flowing, organic forms combined with soft pastel colors and bold neon accents — has secured his position as one of the most influential designers of our time.

Privately owned KARE Design GmbH is an internationally operating company specializing in furniture, lighting, and home accessories. Under the slogan “Fun at home,” the brand designs and markets its own range of unconventional home design across a wide variety of styles. Under the KARE umbrella, the company operates through its own retail outlets, wholesale activities, and franchise system, as well as e-commerce and a dedicated contract business subsidiary.
