Fitura's story

My name is Fitura Mehdiyeva (@fitadreamer), though most people know me as FitaDreamer – that’s my nickname and the name I go by. I’m 24 years old and I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management from the London College of Fashion. Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry. I always imagined fashion as this amazing product you see on stage, while behind the scenes there’s a whole intriguing world going on. I always wanted to be part of that process. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to gain experience in different fashion environments, but the two key brands that truly shaped my professional journey were Prada and Dior. They taught me invaluable lessons about luxury, styling, and customer experience – skills I carry with me today.

I’ve recently begun a new chapter at Blue Planet in Azerbaijan, where I work closely with iconic luxury houses like Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Brunello Cucinelli, Celine, Tiffany & Co., and Bvlgari. This role has refined my eye for detail and deepened my appreciation for the balance between heritage, innovation, and storytelling in luxury fashion.

As for my style, I would describe it as unique and deeply reflective of my inner world. For me, fashion is a language without words – a way to send a message about who you are. It’s about using clothing to ex- press yourself and to show how multifaceted the fashion world truly is. I once heard something in an interview that resonated with me and stayed in my heart:

“When you use fashion properly, it can be your confidence boost. Your way to express what you can’t say. Your calm.” And that perfectly describes what fashion means to me. It has always been how I carry myself when I feel powerful – and how I protect myself when I need softness. In many ways, fashion has been my superpower and language through which I communicate to the world.
