In the run-up to City days, each of us should identify the dearest and the unique place for the capital city. As they call it, “le point zero” in Paris - the island la Cite. Do we have such a point in Baku?
Most of my interviewees consider Icherisheher, as “a reference point” of the city. And it is not in vain, as the city of winds began developing from that place. The Old city is full of historical monuments, museums, galleries and thousand of tales as well. However, I would like to draw the attention of my readers to elegant, almost magical fortress doors.
On this occasion, I hit the road alongside with tourists; I took photos of Icheri Sheher gates. I bet that today I have brought not all to you - no matter how much one might walk through the old city, it is unlikely to open the cover of all its places and mysteries!
