Sunny day with NARGIS

On June 2nd, the NARGIS team, led by editor-in-chief Ulviyya Mahmud, spent a "sunny day" at the Rehabilitation Center for People with Down Syndrome at the public association Qayğı - Sağlam Nəsil Naminə.

At the initiative of Ulviyya Mahmud, the main ideological mastermind and editor-in-chief of NARGIS magazine, children with Down syndrome became the cover characters of the June issue. As soon as the magazine was released, the team went to visit the Rehabilitation Center for People with Down Syndrome at the public association Qayğı - Sağlam Nəsil Naminə to congratulate the children on Children's Day and present them a magazine.

The children cheerfully met the guests - two incendiary dances with complex elements were staged at the theater: somersaults, djembe performances and all this in incredibly bright and unusual outfits! Immediately after the performance, all the children were presented with gifts and a group photo was taken as a keepsake.

After the presentation, Ulviyya Mahmud got acquainted with the activities of the center, visited the rooms for creative development and preparatory courses. She spent time with the "children of the sun," taking part in the creative process: they painted together, talked, children shared their interests, showed their skills in carpet weaving, sculpting, playing the piano.

A rehabilitation center for individuals with Down syndrome was built at the initiative of the Foundation in 2013. There are courses in various subjects, circles of novice sculptors, carpet weavers and artists, as well as halls: computer, sports, swimming pool, parents' room, speech therapist's office, cinema and theater hall.
